As an institution we believe that inclusive, good quality education is a foundation for dynamic and equitable societies- Desmund Tutu

All students have an equal right to learning irrespective of their individual challenges. Enrichment is a programme initiated by the SEN department with the collaboration of the MYP teachers. Not all students understand the concepts being delivered in the classrooms at the same rate. There exists a marked need for differentiated learning and teaching to fill up any gaps in the assimilation of knowledge. A teacher’s role is to identify where the gaps lie and to facilitate the student to move towards better understanding of both, the concepts and the content.

Its two months since the school has reopened for the academic year 2015-16. By now, the students have settled in their classes and the teachers have a fair understanding of each student’s progress. Based on the teachers’ observations and the mid semester grades, students who can perform better with additional support are identified and will be given differentiated worksheets. These worksheets will be custom-made according to each student’s needs. Students will be encouraged to ask doubts in the class and active discussions will be initiated for a few minutes at the end of each class. Monthly assessments will be conducted to ensure and evaluate the student’s progress.

With this programme implemented, our aim is to encourage self-study habits and time management in our students which will help them in increasing their performance.
