Physical Education at RBKIA is an essential part of educating a balanced and whole rounded student. Physical education at RBKIA leads to Active, Fit and Healthy Lifestyles Outside of School! At RBKIA we as educators see the endless benefits of teaching children how to maintain and keep a very healthy lifestyle, through the proper training in Physical Fitness and a healthy balanced diet. The main objective is to teach the students how to make healthy choices in exercise and a balanced diet.

Physical Education at RBKIA teaches children how to be active in many sports or activities. They take their new skills and confidence and use them outside of school ...for life. What is our goal for teaching Physical Education at RBKIA? First off we know that if we get children to move it stimulates their brain. Not only in Physical Education classes should children be moving, but throughout the day and certainly while given tasks in the classroom. There are many ways to get children to move in a classroom without being disruptive or not focusing on the tasks given by the teacher. At RBKIA stimulating children through movement is an important part of our teaching strategies. This is why so many recent research studies are showing increased fitness = improved academics, which is a major goal at RBKIA.

Physical education prepares children to be physically and mentally active, fit and healthy...for life. Here are some of the many benefits children receive from a quality Physical Education program at RBKIA:

  • • Improved physical fitness
  • • Skill and motor skills development
  • • Provides regular, healthful physical activity
  • • Teaches self-discipline
  • • Facilitates development of student responsibility for health and fitness
  • • Influence moral development, leadership, cooperate with others
  • • Stress reduction – an outlet for releasing tension and anxiety
  • • Strengthened peer relationships
  • • Physical education can improve self-confidence and self-esteem
  • • Respect - PE helps you respect your body, classmates and teammates
  • • Experience in setting goals
  • • Improved academics - The big bonus benefit

At RBKIA teaching Physical Education and teaching students to make healthy lifestyle choices is a very important part of our educational goals that we wish our students to reach. Teaching students to be more active, not only will prove to be an effective way to become a life-long learner, but also to carry with them this healthy and balanced lifestyle for their entire lives. Children at RBKIA are encouraged and nurtured through Physical Education to be happy, healthy and wise. The students at RBKIA know that when it comes to choosing to be active and live a balanced lifestyle their teachers are very supportive and are willing to help them in any capacity. The development of healthy young bodies is one major benefit of our school program at RBKIA of physical education. A good program of fitness includes activities and cardiovascular work that improves coordination, flexibility and strength. Childhood obesity is one problem that a physical education helps to control as well. Students involved in physical activities have a better chance of avoiding problems related to obesity and are better able to control their weight. The students at RBKIA are afforded such a wonderful program and along with their parents and teachers will learn to be well balanced and principled students now and in the future.
